| DIVISION I – Home Theater Consultation
Preliminary Consultation
STARLIGHT will provide an "In Home" project consultation,
evaluation and written cost estimate for the entire home theater project*. There is no
charge for this service (Free In-Home Consultation). This will be applied
to an accepted furniture or construction design/manufacture contract.
In the event a design or manufacture contract is accepted the Seventy-Five
dollar fee will be applied to the cost of any accrued design or contract fees.
A check for this fee will be expected at the time of consultation. No invoice
will be issued.
* This service is now available only in the state of Texas.
Theater or Construction Design Contract
STARLIGHT’S professional home theater installers will perform a analysis of
the media room and work with you, the customer to come up with a plan that is
desirable. The customer also has the option of selecting from STARLIGHT’S
different custom built home theaters that will be displayed at different price
ranges. Ranging from video to audio installations discussion with the home
theater consultant at STARLIGHT could cover the following.

Acoustical Room Modes Analysis.

Speaker
dispersion characteristic analysis.

Material
resonant frequency analysis, for necessary sound absorption.

Focal area layout for sound and visual.
-
Video quality and analysis
-
Lighting Design and Evaluation.

Media
room and complete residential or commercial automation
An estimate for the job will be presented within 24-48 hours of the initial
consultation. A design contract
will also be presented with this written estimate.
Audio & Visual Information
Complete setup and construction of a media room can be completed for audio
and video equipment purchased from STARLIGHT.
A design contract is required before the commencement of the job.
Construction or Theater Payment Terms
Construction and theater terms are as follows:
- 80% deposit due upon contract acceptance. This is a non-refundable payment
and will need to be paid at the time of contract signoff.
- 10% due upon delivery of audio video product and project kickoff
- 10% due upon completion.
DIVISION II – Home Theater Project Kickoff
Scheduling
Upon receipt of both the contract and the down-payment the Project Manager
will schedule the project for completion. The Project Manager will call to
introduce himself and discuss scheduling. Please note that until we receive both
the down-payment and the signed contract the project will not be scheduled for
completion. It is at this point that the project changes hands from the designer
to the project manager. Any questions regarding design should be addressed to
the original designer, any questions concerning scheduling or manufacture should
be dialogued with the project manager.
Delivery Payment
The project manager will call within a few days of audio video equipment
delivery and project kickoff. He will schedule the delivery and issue a progress
payment invoice.
This invoice must be paid at the time of delivery.
DIVISION III – Home Theater Project Execution
Operation Hours
The hours of operation for site installation are 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday -
Friday.
Site access is mandatory and can be accommodated by key or personal
accompaniment.
Change Orders
In the event additional work is desired or necessitated STARLIGHT will issue
a written change order, encompassing both the scope of work and additional
amounts to be paid.
DIVISION IV - Final Walkthrough
Upon completion of a Theater or Construction project, STARLIGHT will schedule
a walkthrough with either the Project Manager or the Designer. Final Payment of
10% is expected upon completion, at the time of the walkthrough.
